Introduction
Each morning every Christian must fix their gaze on Jesus, no ifs, no buts, this is necessary. For if we fail to do this, then how can we live as lights in the world (Phil. 2:15) if we are yet to see the Source of all light. Christians live as mirrors, reflecting beams of goodness, truth and joy to a twisted, deceived and broken world. But for a mirror to reflect an object the object must be visible to the mirror, therefore if we want to live like Jesus each day, we must first encounter him; if we want to reflect Jesus we must be looking to Him. So, in the morning the best thing we can do – more important than breakfast or sleep – is to fix our gaze on the Lord.
And this is the purpose of these short devotional podcasts. We will simply study a passage in the Bible, which will not be in depth studies, but are meant to help us in fixing our gaze on Christ. It’s also important to note these are not meant to replace your personal devotions, but think of them as para-devotionals, something maybe to add into your morning routine, or your wind down after work, think of them as a snack before or after your meal.
These devotions will be posted every weekday morning and can be found on this page. They are also downloadable, so if you would like to play them on your morning commute you can.
I hope you find them to be a blessing, as we join together in fixing our gaze on the Lord by reading and thinking on his Word.
